Video Downloads on mediainsider

For those who purchase online video-based course material, there is the option to download the video content for playback on your ipod or computer.

The downloaded file is provided in mp4 format suitable for immediate transfer to an Ipod or similar device. To download the file, right click on the link and select "save file as" or equivalent from the context menu.

If you wish to play it on your windows-based computer you will need to have installed additional software. Macintosh computers will usually already have the required software.

There are a couple of options. These are our suggested methods.

• Install Quicktime with or without itunes
• Install Video Lan Client (VLC)
• Install mp4 codecs for Windows Media Player

We suggest you download the file and try it first. You may have installed the required software as part of other endeavours.
